If you're an artist who is focused on being successful in this game, look at the other success, but do your own thing. Listen to hit songs and try to hear how distinct their sounds are and how well they conveyed that sound.. use the same rules in your music. Realize your own strengths, your weaknesses, and work on what's weak, capitalize on what's strong. You want to have your own distinct sound in the game but to do that you have to be comfortable with who you are--and how you sing or rap. If you're going to compare your music, use loose rules. Compare things like quality, originality, and themes. If you stick with it, you might be grossing the 8 million views BET's "The Game" season premier got yesterday from your own Youtube video that went viral. Sounds nice huh? Well get to work! lol.
